Route 66

Route 66

Route 66 is a photographic collection showcasing the contemporary condition of “America’s Main Street” — circa 2010

Originally established in November 1926, Route 66 quickly became one of the most famous roads in America.  Once the nations most vibrant and commercially active corridor, Route 66 originally ran from Chicago to Los Angeles (2448 mi) – via Missouri, Kansas, Oklahoma, Texas, New Mexico, Arizona, and California

For an entire generation Route 66 was an american icon — America’s Main Street — and today, deteriorating remnants are all that remain of this historical automotive corridor.
